Common questions
- Is this the real OET?
- No. This is an independent, OET-style preparation platform and a proof of concept. It is not the official OET and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the official test owner. Practice mirrors the exam format; it does not reproduce live exam content.
- How do I get access?
- Access is through an academy that white-labels the platform. If your academy uses it, sign in with the details they gave you. If you're an academy, contact sales to get set up.
- Are the AI grades final?
- No. AI grading for Writing and Speaking is a fast, detailed first pass and is marked provisional until a teacher reviews and signs it off. Treat it as guidance, not certification.
- What grade do I need?
- Most regulators and employers ask for a B (around 350) in each sub-test, but requirements differ and change. Always confirm with the body you're applying to. See the band score explainer for the full picture.
- Can I buy individual sections?
- Depending on how your academy sets things up, you can sit a full mock or buy individual OET sections. Your academy controls pricing and what's offered.
- How is my data handled?
- Your academy is the data controller and we act as its processor. We don't use your content to train models, and authoritative exam state is held server-side. See your academy's privacy notice for details.
Still stuck? If you're a student, ask your academy administrator first — they manage your account. Academies and partners can contact us directly.
